Meet the Artist
Graduated from the prestigious Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts(GAFA), she specialized in large-scale glass art installations. Her flagship graduation masterpiece, Mindscape of Mountains & Rivers, received critical acclaim and is currently featured in touring exhibitions.
For her, creating is not merely an artistic craft, but a profound medium to weave her worldviews and faith into form. Each unique creation serves as a channel, allowing her to explore and experience diverse, fluid ways of living.
Our Story & Philosophy
The Name: Uli (由离) Derived from the philosophy of “freedom and transcendence,” Uli signifies breaking free from boundaries and honoring one’s inner calling.
Liquid Eternity: Fire & Water We are captivated by the way glass behaves under intense 1000°C heat—flowing effortlessly like water, yet embodying a poetic duality: delicate yet resilient, fragile yet enduring. If water embraces all things, glass is eternity frozen in liquid motion—capturing the most transcendent moment of fluid grace and casting it in stone.
Zen & The Art of Glass Deeply rooted in Eastern Buddhist philosophy, our founder views the act of glassmaking as a sacred meditative practice. The fiery transformation mirrors Zen concepts: the effortless enlightenment of “picking a flower with a smile”, the quiet precision of mindfulness, and the serene stillness of a Zen dry garden (Karesansui).
Our Core Philosophy: “Inclusive like water, free like glass.”
For her, creating is not merely an artistic craft, but a profound medium to weave her worldviews and faith into form. Each unique creation serves as a channel, allowing her to explore and experience diverse, fluid ways of living.
